The typical process for a commission is as follows. Process may be subject to change:

1. Contact me. Please send me your initial inquiry via my contact form or my email jamielamart@gmail.com. Please be as specific as possible. Reference and inspiration photos are very helpful. From there, we can discuss further details and I can provide a quote and timeline. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the quoted price is required before work on the project begins.

2. Initial sketch. After the deposit is paid, I will provide 2-3 digital sketches varying in composition and color scheme for your approval. Each commission includes one round of revisions. Additional edits will be $25 per set of sketches.

3. Commission progress. Once sketches are finalized, I will begin work on the commissioned piece. I usually provide progress photos throughout the process. However, please keep in mind that major revisions should be addressed during the initial sketch phase. Additional revisions once painting has begun may be an additional cost.

4. Finished project. Once the illustration or painting is finished, I will take the remaining 75% of the payment before shipping or delivering the final work. Please note, shipping fees are not included in the original quote and will be calculated separately. And that's it! I look forward to working with you together.

The rate for a commission can vary greatly depending on the nature of the project. Materials, size, time, and complexity all factor in to determining a commission price.
